Local models, designers and accessory makers are being called to come forward as Seychelles gears to host its first-ever fashion week.
The Seychelles Fashion Week will take place at the AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort and Spa in the western side of the main island of Mahe from November 29 to December 2.
Terry Carolla, the owner of the Telly’s Modelling Agency, is organising the event which he says is a historical event for the fashion industry of the country. The Fashion Week, which will bring around 20 designers under one roof on the island nation, is part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of Telly’s Modelling Agency.
Nine designers have already confirmed their participation, including designers from Seychelles, Qatar, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana and Pakistan.
